Step Into Your Divine Assignment: A Mentorship for Black Spiritual Workers

The Time for Ethical Workers Is Now

In a world desperate for justice, the call for ethical workers has never been louder. Every aspect of society—from the spiritual to the practical—needs workers committed to truth, accountability, and liberation. Workers who can balance spiritual discernment, emotional maturity, and the ethics of justice work.

This mentorship is for those who feel the call, whether they are consciously rooted in Hoodoo traditions or hearing whispers of it for the first time. It’s for Black individuals willing to decolonize their spiritual practice, deepen their connection to their lineage, and answer their divine assignment with integrity.

What Makes This Mentorship Different?

  1. A Justice-Centered Approach

    • This program isn’t about spiritual theatrics. It’s about training workers who embody justice as a sacred act. You’ll learn to cleanse your ancestral court, removing the energies that resist justice, and establish a foundation that supports your assignment.

  2. Holistic Support with Licensed Therapists

    • We believe justice begins within. Two licensed therapists are part of the program to help you navigate the emotional and spiritual terrain of this work.

  3. Blending Community and Individualized Mentorship

    • This is a group program where you will form intimate, sibling-like bonds with others. But your journey will also be deeply personal, guided to honor your unique gifts and assignments.

  4. Rooted in Legacy

    • This mentorship continues the legacy of my grandmother, a master mentor who cultivated workers for justice. This is not just a program; it’s a lineage of liberation.

Testimony from Kyana Palmer

''My experience with Dorothy’s House has been amazing. I came across Mama Cody’s page on TikTok and I’m so glad I did. Since joining Dorothy’s House, I’ve become more confident with trusting my intuition, I had a better understanding of the power of vulnerability and most of all, I’ve learned to make peace with decisions I’ve made. My healing journey has been long and often, I’m in my head about things that honestly, happened the way they happened. I made decisions in the past that weighed on me. The very first lesson was about making peace with decisions because essentially, it can impact the frequency that you operate in. It was simple, smooth and to the point. Quite profound. Since the very first lesson, I’ve applied this way of thinking in my life, and it has had a profound impact on a lot. I have less anxiety and guilt about certain things. Also, I have a very hectic work schedule, so, the option to be able to go back and review recorded sessions is so awesome! I’m so grateful for Dorothy’s House. It is a safe space to help you heal and have a deeper, better understanding of somethings on deep soul/spiritual level. If you join, you will not be disappointed. Infinite blessing!''

''Mama Cody and Dorothyshouse helped me through one of the hardest times in my life. After the murder of my brother I was lost, angry, depressed and completely in survival mode.  The sessions had with Mama Cody gave me something to look forward to each week. Helped me out the darkness and helped me to start to see a glimpse of my own power. Even as a reiki master, sound healer and overall spiritual woman, there were still so many gems shared and a lot of lessons and wisdom offered. If you are truly seeking growth or help in your journey I highly recommend working with Dorothys House.''

Testimony From Eli, 1:1 Client

Working with Mama Cody has been a genuine life changing experience for me. She has help me understand my relationship with my ancestors and myself helping me re learn how to pray without feeling oppressed. Helping me learn how to reconnect and get back to understanding my body and get out my head. The out come has been great. By doing the work my finances have increased, I’m a lot more aware of my desires and emotions and in all it’s been and extremely positive experience and I’ll continue to work with her.

Meet Your Mentor

I wasn’t raised in the church. I was raised in my granny’s living room, which was my sanctuary, and her lap was my altar. As far as I’m concerned, I was raised as a worker in my granny’s living room. There, I learned about my spiritual gifts and the power of having faith in Spirit to supply my needs and protect me.

My granny raised me as an intercessor. I learned to use the biblical text in prayers to bring about my desires without begging. Later, I attended seminary and earned an MDiv in pastoral care from a womanist perspective. Shortly after graduation, I curated Dorothy’s House to honor my granny and to teach others decolonized prayer and how to venerate their ancestors.

My community named me Mama Cody. I recently changed my last name to Turner. You may call me Mama Turner as I will call you by your desired name!
